Hey Everyone!!!
Well, it is currently cold and snowy outside, and Hannah is napping, so I figured I'd take a minute to post some of our weekend photos.
Hannah has recently started music school, and is loving it! She seems to really enjoy the other children, and she adores her teacher, Anna. So, to reward Hannah for going "pee-pee" on the potty the other day, we bought her a music set. She got her first instrument on Friday night, a tambourine. She'll get more of the set as she gets better using the toilet. We aren't pushing potty training just yet, so it might be a bit before she gets the bells and triangle, but I think she is happy with what she has now!
This peacock and another one were squawking back and forth the whole time. You could hear them from one end of the zoo to the other!!
This bear was so cute! A crowd had gathered next to his cage by the elephants, and apparently he wanted to see what all the fuss was about.
(Sorry some of the photos are a bit blurry...they were taken through dirty glass)

There is a whole section of the zoo about dinosaurs. We haven't spent any time in that section, as there are too many "live" animals for Hannah to see. I did think that this photo was great...showing when they brought the models in by air! What I would have done to see that in person!!!

The tigers were all separated from each other, and it didn't take long for us to figure out why. This one was drooling the whole time we were watching it...

...and this one was clearly looking for love!!!

Hannah was all excited to see the giraffes.

The hogs recently had babies...they were so cute!!!
In the past few weeks, Hannah has gotten very interested in Zaboomafoo on PBS. She was thrilled to see a lemur in person.
The big attraction at the zoo right now is the koala display. When we went into the Australia building, they warned us that koalas sleep most of the day and it is rare to see them awake. Well, we lucked out because this guy decided to wake up just long enough for me to snap his photo...then he buried his head in his arm and fell back asleep.
Hannah and I...we tried to get her to sit in the kangaroo's pouch (it is there for photo ops), but she got freaked out...so, what you see is what you get!!
So, that was our trip to the zoo. Yesterday we went to the mall and Hannah rode the merry-go-round for the first time...she loved it!!! We also made the most of some spring sales and then went grocery shopping. Nothing too exciting...just tried to pass the time between snowflakes!!!
I hope you all had a great weekend!!!
Love,
Sharon
