So, if you’re looking for a big announcement regarding Hannah’s surgery, this post is not it. Hannah started showing signs of our cold this weekend, and sure enough, last night she got a runny nose. Soooo...the hospital has put everything on hold. We have to all be symptom-free for one week, and then I have to call to set up her surgery date. Our case manager at the hospital did tell me that the surgeon isn’t doing any operations during the first two weeks of April...sooo...we will be scheduled no sooner than the 3rd or 4th week of April. The good news is that now we won’t be in the hospital for Easter or Hannah’s birthday. The bad news, we have to decide what level of exposure Hannah should have to everyone...see the “good news” to see why this is an issue. We’re still debating how to handle Hannah’s party...stay tuned for that one.
In other news, Hannah is going for another trip on the Potty Train. The other day she decided that she couldn’t do her business in her pull-up. Since then, we’ve had one accident while on the way to the potty, and she had a slightly damp diaper during her nap today...otherwise, she’s been day dry for 2 ½ days. Not bad, eh??
Finally, we had a beautiful weekend here in Calgary. Friday Hannah and I walked to High Street and had lunch at Subway. She was all about the tuna sub I ordered!! She is 100% Mainer! She loves fish!! Then we picked up some odds and ends at the dollar store. Saturday, we tagged along with Craig when he went for a haircut. He went to the barber shop, and Hannah and I got “big girl drinks” at Second Cup. She had a hot chocolate and I had a coffee and we waited for Craig on a sunny bench on High Street. After that we all headed to the Zoo for some family time. Here are some of the photos...
Yesterday we cleaned the house, played outside, and had wonderful BBQ’d dinner to end the day. We had high hopes that spring had sprung in Calgary...until this afternoon when it started snowing. So far it only looks like a dusting, but it was Mother Nature’s reminder that spring is still sleeping...despite the green sprouts in the lawn.
Have a great week everyone!!
Cheers!
Sharon
