Hello All!!!

We had another great weekend here in Calgary. For the past few weeks, Hannah has been taking her baths in the regular tub. She tends to grab at her toys and slip around, so we decided that it was time for 1) a non-slip bathmat or 2) some kind of tub seat for her. So, on Friday night, off to Walmart we went. They didn't have any tub seats that would fit her very well, so Craig thought we should try the blow-up baby tub they had. It is just the right size so she can sit in it, but not lean forward very far. We of course had to let her test it out...

And when it passed the Hannah test, it was on to the real thing. She loved it!!!! We put it inside the big tub, and she could splash all she wanted. We actually had to fill it up several times before she got out. She loves the quacking noise it makes when you squeeze the beak too!!! This ended up being a great way to wear her out at night, while still relaxing her too.

Saturday we hung out around the house, and then did a little shopping. Hannah was all excited to talk to my parents on the computer too. She has been saying PaPa ever since!!!!

We bought Hannah a sled a while back, and haven't been able to use it, since we haven't had any snow since we got it. I am still convinced that my parents jinxed us, because we woke up yesterday to this!

It has been snowing on and off since late Saturday night!!! Some of it has melted, but the sun hasn't been around, so most of it is still here. The weather forecasters are saying that the week will look like this though...
Today, high of 25°F , Tuesday, high of 37°F, Wednesday, high of 43°F, Thursday, high of 48°F, and Friday, high of 45°F. So, needless to say, I don't think the snow will be around for long!!!!
Since we didn't have quite enough snow to use the sled, we decided to head off to Banff. Once we got into the mountains a bit, the clouds separated, and we saw a little sunshine. It was pretty short lived, so I am sorry that the photos are on the dark side.
While in Banff, Craig decided to teach Hannah how to eat snow...considering that everything she picks up goes into her mouth anyway, this was not a hard trick to teach her.

We walked around quite a bit, and then found a good spot to use the sled. There was an area of ice that was so thick, we could walk right out onto it.
Hannah loved every minute of it...and so did Craig!!!! He got quite the workout pulling her around on the ice.

So, after a fun day playing in the snow, we headed back to Calgary, picked up some groceries, and had a quiet night at home.
I hope you all had a great weekend too!!!!
Miss you all!!!
~Sharon~

Hi,

I got your blog from our CHD facebook group. I just had to point out that we have the duck tub too. I love it, I have used it for both my kids and it is great when they are too big for the infant tub, but just starting to sit up and still slipping.
