My Bicycle and Me

Hello All-

Two summers ago, Craig's parents bought Hannah a tricycle and we recently decided that she had outgrown it.  Prior to her Fontan, she would get so winded riding it, and then afterwards, she had so much energy that she was making the pedals skip.

So, with money she got for her birthday from both my in-laws and Craig's brother Pat and our sister-in-law Melissa, we bought her a big girl bike.  She has a lot of practicing to do, as she needs to get the hang of coaster breaks.  The bike we bought also has a front hand break, but we'll work up to learning how to use that.

Last night Hannah went for a few test rides up and down the sidewalk.  She took two tumbles, but both were because she wasn't watching where she was going and she went off the sidewalk.  She learned the lesson that training wheels and uneven grass don't mix.  Thankfully she walked away unharmed...with the exception of a bruised ego.

I snapped a few photos and took a video...enjoy!!!

BTW...Craig adjusted her training wheels after I took the video...she isn't quite so tippy anymore!!

Cheers!
Sharon
